Ember Mug 3 is the first dishwasher safe Ember Mug. Here's how to keep it in great shape.

Dishwasher rules

Top rack only. Low temperature cycle only. Those two rules protect the electronics and finish of your mug. Bottom rack placement and high temperature or sanitize cycles expose the mug to more heat than it's designed for.

The sliding lid is dishwasher safe too. Same rule: top rack.

Hand washing works great too

Warm water and mild soap. Your mug is fully submersible for hand washing, but skip long soaks.

The charging coaster is NOT dishwasher safe

Never put the coaster in the dishwasher or immerse it in water. Wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. Unplug it before cleaning.

Before charging

Make sure the silver rings on the bottom of your mug and the pins on the coaster are completely dry before placing the mug on the coaster.

A few things to avoid

• Never microwave your Ember Mug. It's an electronic device.
• Avoid metal utensils and abrasive scrubbers, which can damage the coating.
• Don't place your mug near heat sources like stovetops or ovens.

A note for Ember Mug and Mug 2 owners
