<p>The Cold Tumbler has no electronics, so caring for it is closer to caring for good glassware than caring for an Ember Mug. A few habits keep it looking new.</p><h2 id="washing-the-glass">Washing the glass</h2><p>The glass vessel is dishwasher safe on the top rack.</p><p>Skip abrasive scrubbers and scouring powders, which can leave marks on glass. A soft sponge or bottle brush reaches the bottom easily.</p><h2 id="washing-the-lid-and-straw">Washing the lid and straw</h2><p>Rinse the lid and straw after each use, especially after milk-based drinks or anything sweet. Use the included straw cleaner with soap and water to ensure no residue inside the straw.</p><p>Once a week or so, take the lid apart for a deeper clean:</p><ol><li>Look inside the lid near the threads for the thin, semi-translucent rubber seal.</li><li>Gently lift it out with a fingertip. It sits in a shallow groove and comes out without tools.</li><li>Wash the seal and the lid separately in warm soapy water, then let both dry completely.</li><li>Press the seal back into its groove so it sits flat. It should rest just inside the lid, above the threads, and be barely visible from the outside.</li></ol><p>A straw brush clears the inside of the straw. If the small rubber grommet where the straw passes through the lid comes loose during cleaning, push it back into place from the top of the lid.</p><h2 id="the-base-bumper">The base bumper</h2><p>The colored base bumper is silicone and simply slides off the bottom of the glass. Slide it off now and then to rinse any drips that collect underneath, dry both parts, and slide it back on until it sits snug against the base. A bumper that feels loose after washing usually just needs to dry fully.</p><h2 id="temperature-care">Temperature care</h2><p>Borosilicate glass handles everyday temperature changes well, but it is still glass. A few standard glassware habits go a long way:</p><ul><li>Let the tumbler come to room temperature before filling it if it has been sitting somewhere very hot or very cold, like a car in summer or a freezer.</li><li>Do not put the Cold Tumbler in the freezer.</li><li>Do not microwave the Cold Tumbler.</li></ul><h2 id="handling">Handling</h2><p>Double-wall glass is sturdier than it looks, but it is not drop proof. That includes the glass vessel, the lid and its seal, the straw, and the base bumper.</p><p>Not covered: damage from drops or impacts, and normal wear like scratches or discoloration.</p><h2 id="if-your-glass-cracked-or-broke">If your glass cracked or broke</h2><p>Stop using the tumbler and dispose of the glass safely. Then request warranty service using the steps below and include a photo. Our team will take a look and get back to you quickly.</p><h2 id="can-i-buy-a-replacement-straw-lid-or-seal">Can I buy a replacement straw, lid, or seal?</h2><p>We do not sell individual replacement parts for the Cold Tumbler at this time. Two options:</p><ol><li>If a part arrived missing, damaged, or failed during normal use within the warranty period, request warranty service.</li><li>If you want a spare lid or base, the Cold Tumbler Accessory Kit includes a new lid and base bumper in your choice of color. Double-wall glass reduces this but does not eliminate it.</li><li>Ice melts sooner than in a vacuum-insulated stainless tumbler. The Cold Tumbler is glass with an air gap, not a vacuum bottle.</li><li>The lid lets liquid out when the tumbler is tipped or laid on its side.
